Eligibility

Rocksolid Community Teen Center is a community-based program that provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for teens. We welcome youth of all backgrounds and do not discriminate based on race, color, sex, age, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status.

To participate in Rocksolid programs, teens must:

  • Be in 5th–12th grade

  • Have a completed registration form and signed parent/guardian permissions on file

  • Be able to participate in a group environment with appropriate independence

  • Follow all Rocksolid policies, expectations, and Code of Conduct

  • Demonstrate behavior that supports the safety and well-being of themselves and others

  • Rocksolid may request a brief consultation with a parent/guardian prior to participation to better understand and support a teen’s individual needs within our group-based program.

Rocksolid is a group-based mentoring environment, not a one-on-one care program. Teens must be able to engage respectfully with peers, staff, and volunteers in a shared space.

Rocksolid reserves the right to deny or revoke participation if a teen’s behavior, or the actions of a parent/guardian, interfere with program safety, operations, or the experience of others.

Code of Conduct

At Rocksolid, we’re creating a space where teens feel safe, respected, and excited to be here.
That only works when everyone contributes to the environment.

Parent/Guardian Partnership

Rocksolid works best when staff, teens, and families work together to create a positive experience for everyone.

By participating in Rocksolid programs, parents/guardians agree to:

  • Support Rocksolid policies, procedures, and staff expectations

  • Maintain respectful communication with staff, volunteers, and participants

  • Communicate transportation, attendance, or pickup changes promptly

  • Ensure teens are picked up on time unless arrangements have been made in advance

  • Support behavior expectations and accountability when concerns arise

  • Keep emergency and contact information current

As a community-supported nonprofit, families may also have opportunities throughout the year to support Rocksolid through volunteer opportunities, snack donations, fundraising events, or community partnerships when able.

What We Expect from Every Teen

Behavior & Accountability

Rocksolid is about growth, not punishment. When expectations aren’t met:

  • Staff will address behavior through conversation and redirection first

  • If issues continue:

    • Parent/guardian may be contacted

    • Privileges (including transportation) may be limited

    • A behavior plan or temporary suspension may be put in place

Serious or repeated violations may result in removal from the program.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for every teen.
We will always work to support positive behavior and help teens learn, grow, and succeed.
